Sponsored Enserva STARS And Spurs Gala Raises $1.7M For STARS
Held at the brand-new BMO Convention Centre in the heart of Calgary, the 2025 STARS and Spurs Gala and live auction raised a record-breaking $1.7 million.
The funds raised through this signature event play a vital role in enabling STARS to deliver prehospital transport and critical care to patients facing life-threatening emergencies across Alberta and Western Canada.
“For 40 years, STARS has delivered critical care anywhere it’s needed, thanks to the unwavering support of the Albertan community,” said Dr. John Froh, President and CEO of STARS. “In that time, Enserva and the entire energy sector have been one of our longest standing allies, enabling us to fly over 60,000 missions across Western Canada and ensuring we can continue to put the next patient first.
“On behalf of everyone at STARS, we’re deeply grateful to Enserva and proud of the relationship we have built for over 31 years.”
Enserva has been a dedicated champion of STARS since 1994, raising nearly $24 million through its annual event. These generous contributions directly support the advanced critical care and flight training of STARS’s highly skilled crew — ensuring they remain prepared to respond to the most complex and urgent medical emergencies.
As Alberta’s largest and longest running gala fundraiser, the event unites government officials, energy sector leaders and business partners for a night of celebration and connection in support of STARS.
STARS extends sincere thanks to Gurpreet Lail, President and CEO of Enserva; Ashley Connolly, Chair of the STARS & Spurs Gala, the Enserva Board of Directors, and the entire planning committee for their outstanding leadership and commitment.
